Hi, when is it safe to try and space out the night feeds so baby sleeps more throughout the night? I’ve heard people say their babys slept through the night from 8 weeks and others say from 6 months- is it just down to the baby or the techniques the parents use?

Sleeping through the night - how??
I have found it's mostly down to the baby, people will tell you bottle fed babies sleep longer but that's not always true and some swear by sleep routines etc. I think that it's a luck thing mostly and a lot of it is developmental. There's also sleep regressions which can play havoc with sleep patterns and routines.
My little girl at 9 months still breastfeeds feeds twice during the night. But she feeds and goes back to sleep now mostly so I still get a decent amount of sleep. We found Co sleeping was a game cha ger for us as I didn't have to move her once she was asleep and I didn't have to get up to her to feed her.
Good luck xx
I think it’s just luck of the draw. My LG was bottle fed and started sleeping through at 4 months. I never really even gave it a thought about when she would sleep through just went with the flow really x
My LO is 5 months & shes slept through from 3 months. We put her to bed at 7:30 after a bottle at 7, then give her a dream feed at 9/10 & she sleeps until 8/9.
It's down to luck really. We've been incredibly lucky as my LG loves her sleep and has slept through since she was 2 months old. I increased 2-3 of her feeds in the day out of the 5 to ensure she had enough to feel full and hydrated over night. Originally it was 5 7 oz feedsand depending on how hungry she was her 1st, 3rd and final feed were upped to 8oz to keep her going.
