Hey

I have my first scan tomorrow, I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for this.

I’ve been told I can buy copies of my scan photos. Does anyone know how much they cost? Also how many copies is normal to get? I was thinking 2 but my husband wants more.

Xx

Hi Gem,

At my hospital the prices are as follows:

£6 - one picture

£12 - three pictures

£15 - four pictures

£20 - six pictures

However I’ve been told I’ll be given photos for free at my 20 weeks scan next week. I think due to Covid, they want to avoid people bringing money in so worth checking with yours x

I never had to pay anything for my scan photos and got about 4 each time. That was nearly 3 years ago x

Mine charges £5 and you get 2-3 photos. Good luck for the scan x

Ours charges £4 a picture but are currently giving 2 for free during covid. Good luck for tomorrow xx

I got 4 at my 12 week scan for free. Different NHS trusts must be different!

At my hospital it was one photo for £5 or 3 for £10. The costs were on my appointment letter, so if there was no mention of costs on your letter you may be lucky and be at a hospital where they are free! x

I live in Wales and all my information said £3 per photo but I was never charged at any appointment and could get as much as I wanted. I got 4 copies, 1 for both sets of grandparents, 1 for us and 1 for husbands nan.
