Dating scan between 10-13 weeks, which my midwife booked for me at my booking appt, midwife appt at 16 weeks, final scan at 20 weeks unless you develop gestational diabetes, but you will be tested for that around 23 weeks (I think) depending on if they find any issues at your 20 week scan. I'm at 12 weeks and have my first scan on Friday. Do you not have a green book/pregnancy notes? Theres a flow chart in there which tells you what to expect and when. Regarding folic acid, my midwife told me at my 8 week appt to carry on taking the pregnacare through pregnancy tablets until I give birth. xx

Thanks for your reply. What is the green book? I have a pink one but doesn't say scan appointment. I only know I have a midwife app in mid May

Do you have a contact number for your midwife in your book? I would just give them a call and say you haven’t got your scan appointment through x

What country are you in? In the UK we get a green book at our booking in appointment, if you're in a different country you may have a different schedule of appointments.

Your appointment schedule should look similar to this nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy...

The book you got at your booking in appointment or blood test you should have a list of when you need to book in with your midwife at the Wells they need to happen. They should have set up n your scan appointment but if you've not had it yet, it might be worth calling your midwife to check she's arranged this for you.

If it helps, my book is Orange and I’m England so could be that different trusts use different colours. My book has a sticker on the front with all the numbers to call and in the book there is detail on the expected timelines for appointments and lots of things that your midwife will populate when you see them.

In South London. It's a bit difficult to navigate but generally useful. Can also view online too.

As per Lydia. My book is orange. I self registered for midwife, then had initial appointment before covid, then had 12 week scan at hospital. Next appointment is telephone call from midwife, then scan mid may. I was given combined folic acid, vit d, C from midwife.

Hi! I think as we are in such a weird place at the moment things are different around the country. I’m in London and have had my appointments very by the book, booking appointment in person with a midwife, scan at 12 weeks, face to face appointment due Monday for my 16 weeks and then 20 week scan. However my friend who is also pregnant is from Birmingham and has only just got her scan appointment through, by the time she has it she will be 16 weeks, she hasn’t seen anyone in person yet, just had an over the phone appointment. So please don’t worry, it’s just different everywhere at the moment. I’m sure you’ll be contacted and told everything soon. Defo keep taking folic acid!
