Sleeping tips

Hi everyone, I am only 15 weeks pregnant and a deep sleeper and keep waking up in the night in awkward positions where I’ve been squishing my bump and I wake up in pain or with my heart beating fast because I’m restricting blood flow. I have a basic pregnancy pillow but I find it very firm and also have woken up with that directly pushing into the bump etc so not sure what to do! Just wondered if anyone has any advice as I’m worried for the safety of the bump during the night times.

Hello

I got a 9 foot u shaped maternity pillow from eBay, is that like what you have got? Although I find it a bit hot. I think, from looking online, the advice about sleeping position mainly applies in the third trimester but I have been trying to go to sleep on the left side since early on to get in the habit of it! This might help:

Thank you so much! I will look into the U shaped one, looks like that could help me stop rolling back. The advice on Tommy’s is great too. I don’t know why I hadn’t heard of them before xx
