Can a baby start showing symptoms of teething at 8 weeks 5 days old? Hes fussy, he screams at me, mumble talking. Only want to be carried while I'm standing, drooling, biting on my shirt, and hands in mouth. Not sure about temperature though.

It is possible it could be teething. Both of my boys started showing signs of teething early but the teeth didn't come through until much later. It just seems to take them ages for them to come through and then others babies just show signs of teething and out they pop! He could also be going through a growth spurt and therefore may be wanting more food and/or comfort than usual; or a leap in development can cause fussy behaviour. If he hasn't got a temperature the chances are he's not unwell. But if you're concerned speak to your health visitor and they should be able to give you some advice.

Thank you GemX81 for responding. Very helpful . I am using paracetamol at the moment just to see how it goes.

Babys can be born with teeth so not unusual that he could be teething, just keep an eye on him, speak to HV if unsure they should give advice. X
