Gestational sac

Has anyone spontaneously miscarried due to the fact of a small gestational sac? I recently miscarried and just want as much information on this reasoning as I can possibly get. There’s hardly any information about it online , or maybe I’m not asking the right questions? I just want to know what causes you’re sac to be smaller then normal or what causes it to stop growing

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and it's natural to want answers.

If this happened in the first trimester then most likely it was a chromosomal abnormality, which is entirely out of anybody's control. Basically it means that either the egg, the sperm or both wasn't quite up to scratch. This doesn't mean there's anything wrong with all the other eggs or sperm though. xx

I’m praying that my next pregnancy will go smooth and be healthy and safe. As I heard that most woman miscarry their first time and go on to have healthy pregnancies in the future. Not sure how true it is but I’m praying in my case and every other woman who’ve experienced it , that it is true. Fingers crossed for my rainbow baby 🤞🏼🌈

Fingers crossed for you! First trimester miscarriages are sadly quite common.

Hi there,

First of all I’m really sorry your having to go through this. I had the exact same miscarriage last October. My midwife explained that it’s a chromosomal abnormality and there is just nothing that can be done in that situation.

Reading one of your reply’s there I just wanted to let you know that I fell pregnant again after my first period post miscarriage and I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant to a healthy baby with a healthy heartbeat.

I didn’t think it would happen for me but it is possible!

I have everything crossed for you in the future!! 🥰🌈

It’s one of the hardest things to go through, I’m trying to keep my spirits up. Especially after having one , a lot of woman start to doubt that it will happen for them. I’m trying not to think negatively but hearing that it happened for you and everything is going perfect , it puts me in better spirits 🥰 if you don’t mind me asking how long did you wait to try to conceive again ?
