Hey ladies, so the time seems to be approaching pretty swiftly and I'm trying to get organised the best I can! I would like some advise on what's bets to wear for birth/skin to skin? Am I best getting a large nightie, large t shirt, vest top or any other ideas?! Xx

A large nursing nightie, that's all I wore at first. You just want to be cosy, nothing tight. Also you want to be able to move around in it an and pull it down easily for skin to skin.

I got myself some nursing nightdresses from eBay. Poppers down the front for easy access & skin to skin, and also easier for midwives to check on things while your still in hospital x

I just got a front button down nightie from Primark, a couple sizes bigger than my normal size as it wasn’t maternity. I ended up having an unplanned C Section so giant granny pants (I’m normally a size 8-10 but got size 16) were a life saver so as to not touch my wound and were also great for fitting the huge maternity pads you’ll need. Good luck xx

Hey! Just brought a nightie with poppers down the front from eBay. It a happy mamma brand. Would recommend. Not bad price and good for labour and nursing after. Not bad price either. Tried look elsewhere but couldn’t find suitable ones for breastfeeding too so gone for these. Take a look. V exciting a. Otherwise. Strapy tops I reck too ☺️ xx

Get a nursing nighty or top, also is recommend getting disposal pants in the next size or 2 up from your usual size.

For going home clothes get yourself joggers or something comfy. Also get yourself a hoodie or something you can open up easily so you stay warm but can quickly open for breastfeeding x

I also had a problem with my bra size, my breasts had gone up another size after birth so I didn't fit into any, so I ended up buying some super cheap bras online, so might be worth having that on standby to buy in case you end up needing it.

Good luck and congratulations! X

I had nightie with buttons down the front so was easy when breast feeding in hospital. They sell them on boohoo maternity.

I got some button nighties from Tesco and basically lived in them for the first 2 weeks so get a couple! Also - Don’t forget the big knickers!! (Unless you are getting the maternity pants instead of pads) I will always remember my midwife Telling me that some ladies came to hospital with nothing but thongs for after they gave birth 😱
