I was going to start using a tooth brush rather than wipes but now I’m not sure we know to spit out the toothpaste but a baby doesn’t.....what do you do?

Sorry if seems silly question my LG is 6 months x

My little boy is 6.5 months and I brush his teeth and just use a very small amount of baby toothpaste. Where he’s dribbling so much from teething most of it seems to end up round his mouth but he doesn’t seem to mind the taste either lol

I wouldn’t worry too much. The amount on the brush is tiny. My LG is 20 months and mainly sucks the toothpaste off before I have a chance to brush x

Thank you both! That’s reassuring! I’ve been using those fingers wipes but think it’s time to go to the normal way x

Once the first teeth come through the advice is to start brushing with a smear of toothpaste containing 1000ppm fluoride

Yep, you only use a smear when they are little so all good.

We started with a toothbrush when teeth started too come through, I was using my finger, but then she started biting our fingers, so we soon stopped that 😂 x
