11 weeks pregnant and heavy bleeding..

Hey, I've had a smooth pregnancy until this week. We knew quite early that I was pregnant and all blood results/scans have been fine.

On Monday morning I woke up for work, getting dressed I felt some fluid in my underwear. When I wiped there was bright red blood, I wiped again I was having clots and heavier bleeding than I normally have on my period - I do have quite light periods. We went to A&E and the scan showed everything was fine with the foetus but there was still some blood around the sack. No extra blood sample was taken. 3 days later and I still have bleeding but it's more like spotting and darker blood...

The gynecologists couldn't really say why this is happening...

Has anyone else had this experience? Does anyone know what caused this for them/ any other info!?

We had a short flight on Sunday to- and from Belgium, flying shouldn't be a problem? I'm wondering if it could be from carrying my nieces and nephews around or something I ate....

Hi flying shouldn’t be a problem so don’t thing this is because that. I had the same with my pregnancy and all up to 13 weeks some time heavy bleeding some just spotting, having suffering pregnancy loss before that I was terrified but it end up with healthy baby. To this day the doctors couldn’t quite say what created the bleeding they thought possibly some blood clout but were not sure, either way they monitor the baby with 2 weekly scans and thankfully by 13 weeks all stoped. So as long as scan confirms baby is fine this is quite common and you have nothing to worry about x

Hi it’s awful when you don’t know quite what’s happening or why. But be reassured from your scan your baby is still there. If you have any more bleeding tho ring you epu get another scan. Some times there’s just bleeding and nothing is wrong.
