Hi ladies... just wondered if anyone has had back to work meetings etc... anyone put in a flexible working requests? How did your employer go about it? I was literally told today that I could have an alternative role which means bing demoted just because I asked to have 1 day off and finish an hour earlier so that I could collect my some from nursery 😬😬😬 and they didn’t record it on the minutes of the meeting😬😬

This sounds all too familiar. I had to go to HR for a similar situation. It was very stressful but worked out in the end. Hope yours does too!

It’s so unfair... they can’t penalise women just because they’ve become a mum.😬 glad it all worked out in the end for you xx

Oooh that’s a bit cheeky. I’d ask for the confirmation of the new role they have offered you in an email and ask for a reply in an email and copy in HR. You should make sure everything is documented as employers have a tendency to back track in decisions and conversations saying they never happened. Hopefully it will all work out OK.

I am allowed flexible working but it has to fit with ‘Business needs’ whatever that means! However this will be at my current band for current pay pro rata. I haven’t submitted my flexi pattern yet as i’m only 26 weeks and will take 9 months off, but talking to others that have tried they do feel quite bullied during the process and some have even left. I don’t want yo do that as i’ve been in my job 16 years and i’m on for a very decent pension 😂

Yes very cheeky. They will send me the notes from the meeting and I do have the chance to make any changes which I will. I’m not going to be bullied and will revert to hr if needed...😊
