New to NCT

Hi, I’ve been on the fertility forum for 18 months now during our 5 cycles of IVF and what amazing support I’ve had. Finally got out BFP last Saturday and wanted to join all you lovely ladies as well for some support.

I’ve got another 2 weeks until my first scan. I feel so low and do not know why? As well as feeling scared and anxious. I Feel like I’m wasting what should be some of my happiest days. Wondered if anyone else felt like this? Maybe I’m not allowing myself to be happy to try and protect myself! I also don’t feel pregnant. I had amazing HCG levels. So it’s happening but can’t get it to sink in that I’m pregnant! It’s going to be a long 2 weeks!

Xx

Hi 👋🏼 I’m from the fertility forum and my little girl is just over 18 months old. We had a BFP on our first go and had a miscarriage and then got another which was this little girl. What your feeling is totally normal. I was anxious the whole time until she was born. I also bled at 6 weeks so that didn’t help. I don’t think I properly enjoyed my pregnancy which was a shame. I also had hardly any pregnancy symptoms. I just was extremely hungry from 8 weeks til about 12 weeks so try to worry too much about symptoms as it seems a lot of people don’t have that many.

Congratulations though and I hope you can start to relax xx

Thank you for your reply. Congrats on your little girl 🥰

I will have to learn to relax. I am having reflexology and meditation session tomo to try and help. I imagine the whole pregnancy is an anxious time but just sticking with a mike stone at a time. The first being my first scan 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

Hi lovely.... I came off the fertility forum too and just like you I couldn’t quite believe that I was pregnant and didn’t want to get too excited. Once you’ve had your scan you’ll feel a little better but you’ll still worry... and then your 12 week you’ll feel much better and still worry. My point is no matter where we are because our journey to get to where we are we try to protect ourselves as much as possible. My advice is too feel as happy as you can.... you’re pregnant.... you did it.... and yes until baby is in our arms we will constantly worry but celebrate today and each day that goes by...as each day your lil baba is getting stronger and is with you.... wiShing you a happy and healthy pregnancy 😘😘😊💙💗

Hi, thank you for your reply. I can’t even believe I’m at the stage to be posting on here! And struggling to believe in pregnant. I can imagine it’s going to be one big worth with different hurdles to get over. Hopefully I can be happier and little more relaxed about it after the scan. Thanks again xxx 🤗

Hey 👋🏻 All sounds completely normal to me. You think the tww is hard enough but then you have the 2ww sometimes 3ww until your viability scan and the wait for that is horrendous! Just take it one day at a time xx

👋🏻 Nice to see you over here! I relate so much to how you're feeling. I've been anxious to the point of terrified all the way through. I think it's extra stressful when you've been through IVF. I wish I could say it gets easier but for me it hasn't really, all I'd say is try to enjoy it as much as you can, especially these times with no symptoms because if you get bad ones you'll soon start to feel rank 😂 and it does go so quickly so try to soak it all in x

Definitely good to try and crack on as normal, the time goes slow at the beginning but things soon speed up. I'm full of cold at the moment so feeling very sorry for myself x

Exactly the same feelings as you. I stressed throughout my whole pregnancy waiting on something going wrong because I couldn’t believe I’d been so lucky. My little boy is nearly 5 months and doing great. Much easier said than done but try not to stress at each point. And huge congratulations😀xx
