11 weeks pregnant - night sweats

Hello! I am 11 weeks and 2 days pregnant and I am suffering from extreme night sweats and it is affecting my sleep. I've tried a fan, open window, sleeping on a towel, a thin blanket instead of a duvet etc., but no luck. I'm on cyclizine for morning sickness so I'm wondering if this is a side effect of that? Does anyone have any experience of this and useful tips? Thank you x

Hey chick, first of all congratulations!! Second of all, sweating is sadly a very common thing amongst pregnant ladies. When you’re pregnant your hormone levels such as your oestrogen and progesterone rise fairly quickly, which can cause both an increase and decrease in temp. Sadly, your hormones will be all over the place during pregnancy and will be pumping day and night, most pregnant ladies experience night sweats so you’re not alone, but unfortunately there’s no cure other than to have your baby ! (However I am still experiencing this 3 months postpartum). Keep cool in whichever way you can so you get a good nights rest, but the sweats won’t settle until your hormone levels return to normal. I hope this helps and good luck xxx
