Hi all! Just a quick question for you: has anyone else taken cyclizine - or other anti-emetic meds - in their last trimester? I’m 34+4 and a week ago my sickness came back in full force. I’ve been throwing up twice a day and finding it hard to drink enough water, so midwife recommended I go back on pills. Currently managing on 2 per day and hoping to reduce to 1 as soon as possible. But I’m so anxious that this may be harming the baby. Any thoughts?

I took them from 4+3 until 16 weeks and then went back on at 20 weeks as I felt awful again until 2 days after birth. I think being dehydrated would do more harm than the meds. My gp told me that although they weren’t specifically approved for pregnancy which is really hard to do as you need double blind studies etc there was no evidence at all they did any harm. My daughter is perfectly fine apart from food allergies but that can happen to anyone and I don’t attribute it to the meds I took, just bad luck (most grow out of them anyway as they get older 🤞🏻) x
Hi, I took them all the way through- starting around 12 weeks m, 3 per day and baby was absolutely fine. I couldn’t have coped without them as my sickness was awful!! xx
