Best rear facing car seat?

I’ve got a cossatto travel system just now but once I remove the newborn insert, the car seat has no padding whatsoever. I’m planning a few long journeys soon and I want my 15 week old to be comfortable. He currently hates his car seat. I’ve been googling like mad but thought I’d post on here as there is too much choice. Does anyone have any recommendations please?

Thanks

Following as I’d love to see people’s recommendations. I’d love an extending rear facing one for when my little girl grows out of her cosatto port one that clips onto the pram base but the choice is hard 😊 x

We’ve got the maxi cosi pebble which is well padded, my little boy always seems comfortable in it to x

Hi.

I don’t have it or know anyone that has, but this is a newer product on the market this year...It’s not rear facing, but complies with the new i size guidelines? Maxi Cosi Jade.

Good luck 😉

I would recommend signing up to Which and reading their full guide. Make sure you cancel after their 30 day free trial! That’s what I did to make sure I was buying a good safe car seat as part of my travel system, I really like to research everything so this gave me piece of mind. I’ve ended up with a Maxi cosi one (it’s not arrived yet so can’t give a full honest review) x

Ive got a maxi cosi pebble and although it appears to have alot less padding when you take out the newborn padding it is actually pretty good

Maxi cosi are some of the best seats safety wise. As your little one is still young I’d get an infant carrier like the Cabriofix or Pebble. It should last you another 9-12 months

I’ve got the Joie 360. Been using it since my daughter was new born. It’s an excellent seat and makes getting a wriggly baby in and out of the car really easy. I originally got it as I had a tiny 3 door car. It’ll last her until she’s 4 at least so definitely worth the money
