Hi some level of pain can be normal, it is strange that at some early when the pregnancy is so small your body might feel discomfort. Usually this is very normal but if the pain is really bad or accompanied with the bleeding you should see the doctor to make sure everything is ok.

I’ve had a bit of pain there, can’t say if it’s normal. If you’ve been anxious or worrying it can be a tight diaphragm, which is what I was told mine was (along with some heart burn). If it’s bad do go see someone about it, don’t suffer/worry

Hi Jane129,

I myself in early pregnancy did have similar symptoms to what you are describing. I'm now 31 weeks pregnant. A lot of people get pains especially in early pregnancy, however be insightful that you're body is making lots and lots of adaptations to cater for your growing baby.

However, you should never treat these symptoms lightly as pain can mean many different things. Although pain is common in pregnancy in the areas described you should always get this checked by a health professional to ensure that it is just normal pregnancy development pain and not anything sinister that you put you or you're baby at risk.

Prehaps call you're local EPU unit, NHS 111 for advice on where to attend or prehaps pop down to A and E as they will always be happy to check you over.

Best wishes
