Hi ladies... a bit tmi but just wanted to ask have your toilet habits changed since having c-section and if so does it go back to normal. I find that I go every few days 3/4 and it’s absolutely huge ( sorry for tmi) is this normal? Then I thought perhaps it’s down to my body clock changing as I’m up during the nights with baba etc... any advice welcome 😊

I can’t help as I haven’t had my c-sec yet but have you tried drinking some green tea (if you’re allowed) and adding extra fibre into the diet?? Not sure if that’s any help?

I’m nearly two weeks after mine and I’d say I’m every two days now although it took a week to go😬. Try lactolose to soften it and you’ll find you maybe go a bit more.x

How much fibre are you eating? It has been just over 2 weeks since my cs and I make sure I have fruits (esp apple) and veg with every meal. My bowels open every day but each time it's a bit of hard work... It is slowly getting better for me though

Perhaps I’m not getting enough fibre and il try to watch what I’m eating more and try more water... but things have definitely changed since having a section 😬

Yes I agree that cs messes up your body. I constantly feel tired now (my babies are still in hospital so no night feeds yet) but I'm finding it tiring to do most things I used to be able to do before. They say it takes 6 weeks for everything to heal inside and for me I'm still getting some pain now and again although it's not nearly as bad as before... I can't wait until everything is back to "normal" although it may be a new norm now xx

I could have written this if I’d been brave enough. I don’t know if it’s the csection or just the pregnancy that has caused the issue but it did get somewhere better but still not the same as before and I’m 10 months on. I also wasn’t sure if it was because of breastfeeding. Are you breastfeeding? X

Lol... I’m mixed feeding but mostly formula now. Wow 10 months on and still not back to how it was before... I do think the csection has a lot do with it because it wasn’t like this before 😬

I didn't have a csec but it was definitely tricky having bowel movements after baby came. Drink loads of water, get your fruit in and try and look after yourself as well as you can. Hard when you have a baby though!

My doc prescribed laculose which really helped. I 100% breastfed but I think pregnancy and birth take their toll on the body so just do what you can for yourself!

It sounds totally normal , just give it time . I’m 2 months and half after c sec. it took me a couple weeks to get back to normal. Just be patient with your body.
