I haven’t been on here in months.

Every time I looked on here, I was becoming more depressed about the situation.

I eventually went the doctors and they gave me a blood test to check hormonal balance etc and all came back normal the results (the test was due to be 7 days before predicted period) however I haven’t come on yet.

My AF was due on the 20th March, however I still haven’t came on.

I’ve felt sick every morning, two mornings which I’ve actually thrown up... I have very tender boobs and my nipples are so sore. Both of which I know can be an early sign of pregnancy and period due... my breasts and nipples have been hurting for 2 weeks now and I am 10 days late.

I just took an ASDAs own brand pregnancy test to try my luck, however there is only one very faint line now I know it should be darker than this, do you reckon it’s a faulty test and should test again? Or should I just accept this as a negative yet again.

I’ve added pictures of the test to show my results. This was after 3 minutes. It’s now been 10 minutes and the results have stayed the exact same. (I know you’re not meant to read the results after the recommended time but just proving it’s stayed the same from 3 minutes up to 10)

Also I’m booked in for a pelvic scan and a transvaginal scab on the 13th April. Anyone had the second one? Any advice as I’m shitting myself for it🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi this looks like a faulty test as the control line should be much darker regardless if you are pregnant or not. It’s good you have a scan as most of the time this is the only way to see what’s going on - just have a good look in there. The transvaginal scan is a internal scan where the doctor will use thin tube that is inserted via your vagina to have a look inside. I know it sounds scary but it really isn’t they use lube and are delicate, it isn’t painful at all just a little uncomfortable. I had many of those done and really you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Via this scan they will be able to have a proper look at you ovaries, tubes, etc.

Thank you for replying! Do you reckon I should test again? I have one more of the ASDAs own brand or do you think this would be faulty as-well as its out the same packet? And I’m petrified of going the hospital for these scans but that’s made me feel a little better, thank you!

Well I was obsessed with testing when we were trying to get pregnant so I would lol. It doesn’t mean that this one will be faulty as well, the only thing I would suggest to wait until tomorrow and do with the first urine. Also not sure how do you test but I always preferred to pee in a cup and then dip the test, if you try to pee directly on the test you might not catch enough and this may also cause the test to be faulty

I can never find first response! I’ve found a clear blue test tho with 3 inside for £14 on offer so I might grab this one & thank you xx

in reply to ffsjes

Oh that’s weird. Clear blue is fine. I think people just recommend first response more as pink lines are better than blue apparently 🤷🏻‍♀️. Good luck xx

Why do they say pink lines are better than blue? Xx

in reply to ffsjes

I think blue are more likely to give an evaporation line or something xx

Oh I see aha makes sense, I’ll try the first respond if I can find some in the shops, if not I’ll get the clear blue ones xx

Thank you! I just brought the cheap Asda brand as just on a whim like, now gives me the incentive to buy more expensive ones, never had a test that’s faulty before, always been negative. Yeah, I had to come off here for a bit as it was proper getting to me and my doctors were refusing me for blood tests and things til I put my foot down and now things are starting to get moving so hopefully can find out what’s wrong! & thank you, I’ll definitely look into them if I can’t get any first response ones etc x
