Hey, looking for some insight really. My consultant advised early induction at 38 weeks simply due to the fact baby was conceived via IVF. Her reasoning was that the NHS have a campaign currently to reduce the number of still births and whilst all babies are precious given this could be our only chance there is evidence to suggest that 38-39 weeks has better chance of a live birth. I’m sorry to be morbid.
My midwife however completely disagrees and says that baby will know when to come and that being induced results in more pain and assisted delivery.
Have any of you been advised similar?
Thanks in advance
