Generally feeling unwell...

I ended up in hospital yesterday on the monitor, my symptoms: headaches, swollen hands and feet, rib pain (in my back)... only to find my BP was high (to start with, it lowered eventually) and also my and babies heart rate was high (unexplained but both did lower after a while). Every other test was fine and nothing to report.

I stayed in for 2 hours until everything returned to normal. They prescribed me dihydrocodeine which I have been taking when needed however this evening it’s not even touched my headache and I’ve started with really bad earache too!

I’ve drank plenty and eaten well. I’ve rested up and slept great last night. I just can’t put my finger on what’s going on and neither can the midwives...

Obviously with the initial symptoms, what springs into your head is pre-clampsia but in tests, there is nothing to suggest that.

Has anyone ever had anything similar? Am I just getting the rough end of the stick on the home run? (I’m 31 weeks).

Hi I would say if u carry on feeling like this to go back ASAP

I had pre eclampsia and my GP thought it was gallstones he did my check my BP or urine a few days later I went to midewife I don’t want to scare u but she took BP and sent me straight to hospital I had really bad pre eclampsia and had my daughter the next morning via c section at 36 weeks (sorry I don’t want to worry or scare u but do keep an eye on everything.

I ended up back in yesterday after a routine appointment. All my symptoms suggest that but bloods are coming back normal with nothing to report. I really don’t know what’s going on.

I’m not sure what I can suggest. I’m sure they will monitor you closely and any more changes they will test you again. Have they said anything about what it could be?

Nothing, it’s just strange that there are so many of those symptoms, but nothing factual from my bloods.
