Obstetric cholestatis .. induction offered..anyone in same situation?

Hi

I am 36+3 weeks now and the bile acid levels were marginally increased the doctor said. They talked about getting induced at 37-38 weeks and I would like to know if induction at that time would work out to have normal delivery ..as I am scared of C section. Is anyone out there who has OC and have induced at 37 weeks..pls let me know the experience. I wanted to know whether body would be ready to take the induction process and way it tonormal delivery. Thank you

I also had OC and I was induced at 37 weeks. They gave me steroids to help with the development of my sons lungs. I went in on a Monday to be induced it didn’t work out for me. I only ever got to 3cms dilated and needed an emergency C-section early hours of Thursday morning. I’ve often wondered in hindsight if I would have opted for a caesarean straight away but I wanted a natural birth. The c section wasn’t too bad and I recovered reasonlat quickly. I did have to stay in till the Sunday as I had a mild infection. Good luck and feel free to message me if you have any other questions I could help with. X

Thank you so much for the reply. I want to have natural birth as well as I didn't have any other problems. But don't have an idea how my body reacts when time comes. Fingers crossed!.But couldn't get the courage to go through C section. Hoping for the best
