Definitely approach your GP. They usually want you to have been trying for a year before they start investigating so you're about there. Have a look at the Fertility Network Uk forum on here too, which is for people who are struggling to conceive. It's a great forum with loads of advice and support and people on there may have some ideas of what could be affecting your period regularity and what to ask your GP about. Best of luck

We've already got a 2 year old, so it's not like I can't have kids. I'll have a look at that thanks

You could always just go and ask whatever questions you might have regarding your cycles. Puts a start off point with the dr incase you don’t get pregnant within the next few mths I suspect it’s quite difficult with irregular cycles aswel trying to track they may have suggestions.

It took us over a year to concieve our first baby, I'm only 23 so I'm not sure what's going on. I try an make a note of the dates so I know if I'm late or not

I suppose if you just have regular sex it covers you if not sure dates. I’d go if your concerned but they prob not do anything but there’s no harm.

We have sex about 3 or 4 times a week so it is regular. I'll see what they suggest

Yes it sounds like you need to be checked for polycystic ovaries x

Have you been tracking ovulation? Then you can work out if your period is late even if you have an irregular cycle. Working on an average cycle length doesn’t always work if your cycle is all over the place. I used ovulation sticks and did temping and entered it on the fertility friend website, also check your cervical mucus. Then you will know when your period is due xx
