I am not an expert but pretty sure jumping is out of question. I would confront with midwife or GP.

Does anyone know where to buy a children's trampoline? I want to please my kids, but I can not find a suitable one.

I believe that jumping when pregnant is strictly forbidden, as there is a very high chance that you could fall wrongly and damage the baby in the womb. That is very dangerous, so I would advise you to wait until the baby is born. Then jumping on a trampoline can be used as a fitness activity to restore your figure. When my wife gave birth to my son, I bought a trampoline specifically for her to work out from the comfort of her own home. I purchased it here paydaydeals.com.au/collecti... and was very satisfied. Now my son is four years old, and I think to buy him a separate trampoline for children, so he could also spend time usefully.

I got told trampoline was a no-no

I’m sure if you ask your instructor they’ll tell you to stop the classes, they won’t want to be responsible for a pregnant woman bouncing. It’s not a good idea to carry on.

I have always been advised that if you have been doing a sport for at least 6 months prior to pregnancy you should be fine to continue, providing there is no physical contact (like fighting, rugby, netball etc. can have) and there is no risk of you falling, such as horse riding or gymnastics, you should be fine. I carried on with pole fitness until i was 7 months pregnant, at that point i couldnt reach the pole. Just make sure the instructor is aware, their insurance may not cover you, listen to your body, and take it easy xx

Fellow poler! have you had your baby yet and if so when did you start again? I had a section 12 weeks ago but itching to get back to it, just not sure when is a good idea!

Also to answer OP’s question, the problem with jumping is the pressure in your cervix - if you’ve been doing it a while then carry on but stop if it becomes uncomfortable or when baby gets bigger. I carried on horse riding well into 2nd trimester and competed cross country at 5 months - you just take the risks into consideration. Check with your instructor!

Glad to hear this as I ride too and hoping to carry on as long as possible as my horse it currently fit and competing, we do dressage so slightly less risky but really don’t want to have to stop this for as long as possible

Absolutely - you know your horse and if you’re safe then carry on! I think a lot of people become very sedentary during pregnancy which is far riskier than continuing with an active lifestyle. Just listen to your body. I stopped exercising 2 weeks before my due date and just went for walks as I had pelvic girdle pain that I couldn’t ignore any more!

Hi! Sorry for the delay, my son is now 14 months old. I went back to pole the same day as my 6 week checkup,i had a vaginal birth, gas and air only, and other than an episiostomy no other assistance, he came a week early.

To anyone wondering, I spoken to the instructor and she has previously had women in the class that carried on through their pregnancy, and I had an appointment with the doctor so checked and she also said as bouncing is fine and better to carry on and keep active whilst I still can

But thanks for the replies anyway :)
