This is my first baby and I’m so so uncomfortable I also am suffering really really bad SPD. I have sore gums and teeth. My bottom of my spine is sore Only had a check up at dentist 3 weeks ago. I’m moody all the time can’t stop feeling rubbish. Short of breathing now & just can’t wait for him to come now I’m having a planned c section at 39 weeks. Due to really really bad SPD. I can’t cope no more with feeling so uncomfortable still got another two weeks to go what can I do 😪 feel so fed up

Awwwww im so sorry you’re going through this, you’re not alone though. I’m in the same position my physio referral is the 22nd of this month. My midwife has told me to take two paracetamols when I feel pain. It’s constant though 🥴 try to stay as positive as you can it’s easier said than done x

Thank you it’s awful this SPD I feel useless. Very uncomfortable and it’s making it a lot worst. My midwife said it’s to late for physio now. And just to take paracetamol when I’m in pain which I have 😪 Trying to stay PoSitive but it’s so hard X

Sorry to hear you’re feeling rubbish. Really not long to go now though. For the SPD make sure you’re taking regular pain relief (paracetamol is ok when pregnant) as frequently as you’re allowed according to the packet. Don’t wait for the pain to build up before taking them.

Maybe write yourself a list of little ways you can treat yourself, something you like to eat, listening to your favourite songs (you could make a playlist), watch a good film etc and plan one of them to do every day until baby is due? xx

I am feeling the same and counting down the days to my section! I’m not even bothering seeing the physio now, because there isn’t much they can do except show you not what to do to make it worse and I’m close to the end now. Nothing can really improve it :(

Take paracetamol if you need it. Make sure not to cross your legs, keep legs together when getting out of the car etc all that type of thing which you probably already do! Mine disrupts my sleep every hour or two which I find is the worst thing about it.

I’m still feeling sick too.

I got SPD fairly early on in my pregnancy and it was awful. I had some fertility reflexology though and it changed my life. I went to the physio at the hospital as referred but didn’t do much. I had 3 or 4 reflexology treatments and up to now 39w I haven’t felt that pain only all the others we feel x
