Downs Syndrome ratio?

I had my 12-week scan today, and I was absolutely overjoyed to see the little one wriggling away! Midwife/sonographer said all looked well, and she calculated the risk of downs as 'low risk' so I didn't really worry about it...until I left the appointment and started googling! And now I'm freaking out a little! My risk was calculated as 1:167 (and the cut off for high risk is 1:150, so it's close but I didn't worry, until I've now read that people get figures in the thousands and millions!!) Can anyone give me some reassuring stories or advice please? I know I can't afford the Harmony test so that's not an option. And I know realistically that no diagnostic test can be 100% certain, but I guess I'm just a little concerned, and am trying not to let this take the edge off my excitement of seeing my little one being an adorable little monkey in there!! Oh why did I google?!! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜¬ I should have just left it at the professional telling me it's low risk, and being happy with that! Any advice/positive stories would be greatly appreciated xx hope you all had a wonderful time over Christmas! πŸŽ…πŸΌπŸŽ„

When you have your 20 week scan they will look for other anomalies that could indicate downs such as club feet, length of thigh bone, nose bridge and heart so that should provide you with some reassurance. Your chance of downs is less than 0.6% which is tiny so try not worry about it, the odds are hugely in your favour.

Thank you so much for replying, you've really put my mind at ease, I really appreciate it. And less than 0.6%, that does sound much less scary (my little pea brain didn't even do the maths there haha!!) πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ thank you xx
