Travel insurance

I was at the dr’s on Tuesday about something else and asked if I was ok to fly at 16 weeks, which she said I was.

I’m flying within the uk and the flight is only an hour and a bit. She advised to keep moving around on the flight which is fine.

As I was leaving she asked me if I had insurance sorted.. should I be getting travel insurance for an internal flight? I’ve never bothered in the past and I’m just taking hand luggage. Does being pregnant mean I should have it? I’m a bit confused 😂

Thanks x

I wouldn’t bother with an internal flight we went to Belfast and didn’t bother as it’s still uk.

Travel insurance within uk would only make you eligible if as a part of the travel you will be staying at least 3 consecutive nights in a hotel, etc. As you would get medical help anywhere in UK without any extra cost I wouldn’t think you need insurance.

Thanks. That’s what I thought, it just threw me a bit and it’s never occurred to me before to get it.
