NCT signature antenatal classes?

Hi,

Has anyone done the NCT signature antenatal classes? I’ve just got the information through and although it sounds useful it’s £179- more than I expected to pay and trying to save money atm for all the baby bits and pieces to buy! Has anyone done it before and would recommend? xx

Im currently getting ready to go to my 2nd session. I did it because my friends said they enjoyed them and still kept in touch with other couples.

I think the content is probably very similar to the nhs classes

We did the NCT course that was available in our area, not sure if it was “signature”, it cost a little more than that but I felt it was worth every penny for me- I like to feel fully informed about things and also it gave use seven couples who are also expecting and we are staying in touch.

Ps I’ve bought most baby stuff second hand and been given loads- Facebook marketplace is amazing for getting cheap bits.

I personally didn’t as was too expensive for us at the time but those I know that did loved it and still keep in touch with those they met on the course. Nct do great other courses too and do some great sales and often have a group for when baby is here too. Definitely worth getting involved with xx

£264 for me, and as a single mum this is so expensive with everything else I need to buy. But I’m 39 and know no other pregnant people, so have been advised by friends with older children to do it because it’s basically paying for friends! Ha.

Thanks everyone! I think we will probably go for it, as being first time parents we will be pretty clueless and it would be great to meet some other people in the same situation. Maybe mine is cheaper because of where I live? I’m from the North east so May be cheaper or it might be a slightly different course xx
