My 9 month old keeps pinching me when I'm breast feeding, she isn't sleeping well it's been 3 weeks she goes to bed but wakes and will not go back into her cot, she is wimpering with pain. She dies have 6 teeth is this a sign of more teeth?

My little one is almost 9 months and I can't remember the last time I had a decent night's sleep. If your little one has flushed cheeks and inflamed looking gums, and has gone offfood a bit then I'd say it's likely to be teething. I've started giving my baby Calpol at bed time and he slept for 3 hrs for the first time in ages!

The sleep deprivation is killing me at the moment but I feel a sense of relief that it's not just my baby being tricky at this age. Like my friend always says, everything is just a phase. Hope we reach the other side soon!

We had to give some calpol last night she slept from 7 -1am but wouldn't settle in her own bed, she slept on the bed with us until 7am so better night for us. Can't wait for this to end so she can enjoy her sleep and we can too 😂. Fingers crossed for good sleeps for us all tonight.

Yeah it's so hard when you're tired! I read somewhere that they can start to go through separation anxiety the closer they get to 1. It's definitely true of my baby - he fusses when I leave the room for 5 seconds, even if I'm still talking to him. It's like he needs to be able to see me.

He can also be tricky to put in his cot at times. Sometimes I put a hot water bottle down in the spot where he sleeps so that I can lie him down on a warm surface (removing bottle as I put him down).

Good luck!

Do you find the water bottle works? that's a really good idea. She has just gone down for a lil nap (usually not longer than 30 mins) She pinches my face and neck and also starts to wriggle when she's tired I wish she knew how great sleep is I could really do with some. Thank you for your reply xx

My boy is the same and only ever naps for 30mins. It's always a dash to get things done! I think hot water bottle mostly works. Also it Feels like he sleeps more soundly because he's nice and warm. The tiredness is so hard but we'll get through it!
