Hey girls,

So we finally made one of our big purchases, we decided to go with the silvercross wayfarer😀

Why is pram buying so bloody difficult?!! So many options and not enough money.

We decided the silvercross is perfect for us because:

*its lightweight

*easy to put together

*stylish

*great basket size

Looks really nice. I think most of the stuff we buy for baby is a mine field. Xx

I’ve got the Chelsea wayfarer and love it except basket access when using the first part of the pram xx

My friend has a wayfarer she likes it she’s a foster carer she keeps buying different colours for a change of look.

Awww that’s such a rewarding job, that’s one of the reasons I liked it too. You can change the covers and they’re easily washable x

I love the grey I’d choose a grey pushchair this time if I ever get a baby again. I’ve still got my old pushchair it’s nearly 13 years old it did well had multiple kids in. But it’s going the journey to the charity or tip.

Biggest advice i can recommend for baby stuff is to look for a car seat that lasts as long as possible. We spent around £400 on an infant carrier set up that he grew out of at 11 months. Only to spend £220 on a seat that will now last until he is 12 years old, that seat goes from birth too so we could have saved a fortune in the first place had we done a little more research and not just followed my brother in laws advice!

It truely is a mine field out there!

Hi, thanks for this advice. Could you please tell me the name of the car seat, also did this car seat go on a pushchair? I really would love a car seat that can be used from birth to a very good age, but we went for a personal shop series at Mothercare and based on the expert's advice, only maxi CosI cabriofix fitted well based on the angle if you put a baby in. And I don't like that brand of maxi CosI at all.

Our infant carrier was maxi cosi pebble plus, the birth to 12 years is Joie every stage fx, it doesn't clip onto the pushchair but it isnt recommended to use the car seat on the pushchair as they aren't supposed to be in the seat for very long when they are little due to breathing restrictions.

we got the silvercross Pioneer which is practically the same as the wayfarer - except bigger wheels and the basket size is a bit bigger (is what swayed us to this design)

i must agree with the previous reply in regards to access to the basket. it can be rather awkward sometimes - me and my partner have to literally lift the carrycot off the frame in order to put anything underneath it. its a bit easier if you use the car-chair on the frame, and we have yet to try the older chair.

also the centre of balance with the carycot on seems too far back but its only noticeable if you have to put weight on the back wheels.

other than that this pushchair i find is an absolute delight!
