My mums friend is in exactly the same position as you! Constantly I’ll with urine infections- she gets rigours and feels dreadful with them. She is currently waiting for her bladder to be removed as the thought of that is better than the constant pain of the urine infections (post bladder cancer). I’m not saying this is what you should do but just wanted to let you know you’re not alone. Take care x

That's awful! Although antibiotics serve a purpose they are terrible at killing off all bacteria good and bad. Probiotics are essential and thereis one specifically for water infections. If you have a health shop near you (nothe Holland and Barratt!) They should be able to advise you. Also cranberry juice

You might want to look for an appropriate forum to get better advice as this is for pregnancy and child rearing

Hi last year I had 4 water infections. The last doctor I saw gave me penicillin sachets that you mix with water and drink. He said that is the proper way to treat them but most doctors give you tablets because it's easier/laziness lol I don't know if you have had the sachets but I've not had one since. So ask for them maybe

Are you sure it's actually an infection? As in have urine cultures actually grown bacteria? Because it could be something different such as interstitial cystitis? It's not really possible to have a contiuous uti for 4 years
