Hi everyone! I am looking for some advise. I am planning our babymoon to Greece Athens and Santorini, anyone have any advise on if it’s ok to eat the delicious feta cheese, yogurt and honey?? Are they all pasteurized?

All depends on if it's pasteurized. If its not shop bought and wrapped properly but locally made probably not.

Thanks for your reply Kate. I guess checking all labels before would be the way to go

Just make sure in restaurants you ask where they source from. As many smaller ones will source from locals as it's cheaper. And not all locals have the facilities to heat treat like the big companies.

I know I'm the islands like Crete most of their products are local. You might not have as much a problem main land.

Yeah it worries me a bit! I read that as per EU regulations all the dairy products have to be pasteurized to be sold, that gives me reassurance! Else I will skip the oh so famous yogurts and cheese in Greece :( sad!
