Any parents of twins? Waking babies for feeds...

Hi everyone

Our twin boys are 3 weeks old. We are struggling a little with feeding patterns. I called tamba this morning who said we should wake 2nd twin straight after 1st has fed to get them into a routine. One twin is much better at taking a feed than the other so tends to be a lot quicker. I'm sitting here 4 hrs after their last feed wondering if I should wake him though. Anyone have a similar experience/advice? It'd be sods law that if I wait that both will wake at the same time. I'm trying to get into a routine before my husband goes back to work next week! 😊

Generally speaking at that age they should be eating at least every two hours as their tummies are still so tiny and having no more than 2oz per feed. You dont have to wake them for feeds just watch them in their sleep for rapid eye movement and latch them on/ offer the bottle.

This helps keep their tummies from stretching, and keeps their blood sugar levels more stable which is a natural prevention against SIDS.
