Why's my baby not drinking milk
Your baby might be on a “milk strike” which is where they refuse milk for a period of time. I don’t know much about it tbh as I haven’t experienced this with my baby. There is a Facebook page called 2am Mothercare Club. I’ve seen mums on there talking about it so they may be able to give tips on how to overcome it.
It could be transient whilst unwell... is baby having any milk? What about water or other fluids? Make sure you keep an eye on wet nappies
When my baby refused milk due to having a chest infection I gave her milk in her porridge and watered it down with milk as much as I could. Also used a spoon to get some in.
She eventually started eating and drinking again after a few days. Dr said they wanted one wet nappy in 24 hours to prove no dehydration
My son who is now almost 4 never ever drank milk after I weaned him at 18 months and even before that and there is nothing that he doesn't eat but only milk. I think he has milk intolerance. So I think your child may be absolutely normal it's just that he may not like the taste of milk. But do check with a health advisor to clear your mind from any doubts. Good luck
