I am 17 weeks and 5 days and had been feeling the baby 'move/flutter' since I was about 11/12 weeks on and off.
My pregnancy has so far been good, no complications, but 2 days ago I had kidney stones and the doctor at A&E prescribed co-codamol. I took one, then looked closer and it's not advised during pregnancy. The pain went away and I never took another one anyway.
Now my concern is that for the last 2/3days I have not felt any movement, and don't know if the baby is ok.
Is it normal not to feel the baby for a few days at this stage?
Thanks xxx

I had to use co-codamol regularly throughout the pregnancy of my first child (he’s got his first day at school on Friday!).
There are a lot of medications where it says consult your GP when you’re pregnant or that it’s not advised. I believe companies have to put that on there to be safe themselves. Last week I got prescribed anti-sickness tablets by the EPU and was told they are totally safe, and yet the packaging said to consult the GP whether the risks outweigh the benefits...
Co-codamol did wonders for me when I was in a lot of pain, I took them almost daily. I had a range of doctors, midwives and GPs looking after me, they all said it’s safe and my boy is perfectly fine.
I didn’t feel either of my children move until about Week 20, you’re quite early at 17 weeks so I wouldn’t worry because of that. However if your gut instinct (not because of co-codamol) says something isn’t right, I’d give them a call and get checked.
