31+2 constantly thirsty keeping me awake

im 31+2 weeks frequently drinking throughout the day definitely more than 2 litres as have a 500ml glass that i top up atleast once an hour often more. seem to be thirsty all the time and this is waking me up at night and making it harder to get back to sleep.

I keep a glass of water next to my bed and end up drinking atleast half a glass more often a full glass every time i wake up. found i wake up more often because im thirsty than because of needing the loo.

any suggestions on how to deal with this? or why im so thirsty?

thanks

Personally I would give her a quick text or call. Anything unusual in your pregnancy for you should be mentioned right away rather th a. Left till you next see someone. They would rather you called and they have to tell you it's nothing to worry about than you leave it and it having needed dealing with.

Better off mentioning it than not. Hopefully it eases off for you. I have horrendous heartburn that keeps waking me up lol

Please don't wait to see her next week,

It does sound like gestational diabetes. Call your midwife and tell her what's happening.

It's normal to feel more thirsty in pregnancy as your growing amniotic sac needs water. Maybe you are not drinking ebought in the day, maybe your salt intake is too high so your body wants to dilute the salt or maybe you have diabetes. See a dr asap x
