Severe Headaches

Hi all I'm new here, but was wondering for some advice.

I'm 16 + 3 pregnant and i've been suffering with these really severe headaches for the last few days, today being the worst day for it!

It's worse when I move around, especially from sitting to standing ect, never suffered with headaches/migraines until now. Following with some dizziness.

I've been making sure I drink plenty of water and eat frequently but nothing is working, trying not to Google to much into it.

Is this quite common in the 2nd trimester an what can I do to help?

Hun it could be your iron being low or vitamin D levels but if they are worrying you , you should contact your midwife she might do some bloods on you. I had headaches last week for 2 days but they went away (touchwood) I hope you feel better soon xxx

Aw it’s lovely hearing their heartbeat 💗 I remember having a tear in my eye. I wasn’t going to find out to be honest but with him being a Christmas baby and having 3 daughters and 2 Christmas Birthday already I want to be prepared, it’s only been the past week I changed my mind lol my 4 year old daughter was a suprise lol 😂 but also another girl! As long as they are healthy hun that’s all that matters !! Yes keep those headaches away, I’m with my midwife in a week and half time . Xx

I saw my midwife at the weekend and she said headaches migraines are a symptom of being pregnant, but are really bad, then phone your midwife and see what she says, better to get checked out

Thank you hun, I called my midwife yesterday and I'm seeing her today to make sure all Okay x

Try and contact your midwife or maternal and fetal assessment unit. Have you had your blood pressure checked recently? I had a similar thing and had preeclampsia. I hope it’s not that and is a bit of an easier fix, but get it checked anyway!

I'm seeing the midwife today :) I last had it checked at my booking appt ages ago and was all Okay but she's going to check it today for me :) yeah that's what I've been getting worried about, as I tried not to Google into it to much but the bits I did see were preeclampsia. I'm sorry to hear yours was preeclampsia i don't know alot about it to be honest but I know it's not good for you Or baby so I hope your both Okay! Thank you I'll find out today hopefully xx

I had this for a few months, it was dehydration related but water just wasnt working so i took some oral O. R. S tablets to hydrate me for a few days and it all stopped.
