Periods after breastfeeding

My little one is 10 months now and recently I cut down my bf to 3 times a day. For the last few months I would get cramping at certain points in the month so thought my period would be starting again soon then with out any symptoms (besides for feeling achy but no cramping) I find blood when I wipe it has been going on for 3 days now it is so light that it wouldn't stain my underwear never mind having to put on tampon/pad (I'm not sure I can even call it a real period). Also it is a bit more pinky/browny/red compared to the colour of what mine use to be (also I use to have quite a heavy flow).

Anyone went though anything similar or know what could be going on?! Thanks

Mine took ages to come back and settle. I fed Niamh exclusively for 7 months, then fed her as and when she wanted until she was just over 2. My periods came back shortly before her 2nd birthday when i was only feeding her about once or twice a week.

They were hardly anything, very little spotting to start with, then the second or third period they came back pretty much as they were before.

Everyone is different so if you arent sure go to the doctors, or aak your health visitor. Hope thats settles your mind a little. X
