Hi all,

I’ve recently found out I’m pregnant with my first baby so very excited but also nervous. I’ve booked to have an early scan just to reassure me. I will be between 6-7 weeks. Will I see the baby’s heartbeat at that point?

Hey my lovely yes all being well you should see the heart beat , they might have to do an internal one for the accuracy of your little baby as your dates could be behind or forward.

Being pregnant brings a lot of emotions and anxiety so your not a lone my lovely.

Just be warned be warned hun it's easy to be wrong on dates. I was so adamant on mine and I was two weeks behind what I thought. So if your dates are wrong there might not be much to see at all.

At 6 weeks it’s the size of a grain of rice 7 weeks a blue berry so it’ll be very small but a heart beat should be heard from about 6 weeks. Hope the scan reassures you and good luck for a healthy pregnancy 😊

How did u book for a early scan babe I’m 6 weeks and 2 days but I just wanna put my mind at rest that’s there is a baby there xxx

You can book private scans if you google it you can find a clinic in your local area. They range from £20-60 ish
