I have been off my pill since jan 2018 I have been trying for a baby since

My period has been on time since never late I am now currently 5 days late on my period I keep getting sharp pains in my boobs and back and cramps In my tummy that does feel like my period jus no blood or anything usually when I get ready to come on I get like a brown discharge kind of thing but don’t have anything,

I took a test 3 days late but came up negative but people was saying I took it too early what do you guys think

I haven’t had a child befor or even been pregnant so don’t no what to expect
