Hi all. So my 10 month old already has 4 teeth.

For the past week his poo has been smelling a lot stronger almost vinegar like. He's biting everything , irritable cranky etc. Eating and drinking ok.

He's breast fed and on 3 meals a day. No changes to diet

Yeah I’d think so teething can change poo.

Thanks. Didn't have this with the first four teeth. No other symptoms to indicate anything. Although my worrying mind trails off

Bless him teething not nice they do get irritable with it

It's just the odur that I find a bit odd.

Vinegary is exactly how I’d describe teething poo. It’s usually a bit looser too and has that watery pesto oil appearance (my little girl’s did anyway!).

Rubbing teething gel on the problem areas should help a lot, or if it gets too unbearable for him, try nurofen as it’s much better for teething pain relief than calpol (because it’s anti-inflammatory I think).

Good luck! Xx

So glad I read this! Our boy is 9 weeks old and he's started teething. I double checked with the doctor as I thought he was quite young but they said he's definitely teething.

His poo has been exactly how you described! I was slightly worried and was gonna mention it at the health visitor appointment! Wasn't too concerned as he wasn't vomiting and was still taking his bottle.

Thank you! Xx

Good luck! It can be tough. Unfortunately I think 9 weeks is too young for nurofen (you’ll need to check) but the gel is great, and teetha powders are good too. Xx

He's too young for Nurofen and the teething powders but the gels and Calpol seem to be working! Thank you! Xx
