Hi Georgina D..I was recommended a c-section as I’m a 39 year old first time mum with a low bmi. Also my husband works in America and we need to have a firm date in the diary so he can be home for the birth.

Awww wow thought they only offered c section for high blood pressure. I've not had chance section but I know ppl who have and recovery will be at least 6 weeks. You may find it painful to use abs (getting up from sitting etc). X

I was practically begging for c section as I'm very small framed and my baby was average sized and I was told no. I have so many problems now. I wish I did have c section x

How exciting I bet you cannot wait! Wishing you lots of luck xxx

I had a c-section with my little girl as she was breech. I left hospital the following day as wanted to get home (they wake you up so much through the night!)

We went for a walk 3 days later and was managing small tasks at home like washing up etc although would get tired very easily.

I’m not going to lie it is quite painful - it stings for a while but I got over that by looking at my gorgeous baby girl 💗

You cannot exercise for at least 6 weeks (I didn’t until around 10 weeks)

I still have some numbness around the scar now and my little girl is 1 now but it’s only a small amount! I heard some horror stories where friends were telling me they couldn’t get out of bed for two weeks but I think if you take things slow it’s absolutely fine! You know your own body!

Good luck xx

I had an emergency section and I didn’t find it as bad as I thought it was going to be.

It took me about two weeks for the pain to go away but I know some people take longer. I would of been out of hospital the next day but baby was thought to have sepsis so was in for three. Make sure you have a pillow for under your belly if you lie on your side because it’s like jelly and feels like it’s pulling down a bit so slightly uncomfortable. Also you get a lot of wind and after mentioning it to every nurse I eventually got peppermint oil which really helped. And don’t let anyone make you laugh coz it hurts 😂.

I was home after the three days and cleaning etc and went for a walk into town on day 4 although was slightly uncomfortable.

Good luck you will be fine xx
