So I’m going to be 23 weeks pregnant when I fly out to Spain. I’m just a little worried because I’m terrified of feeling extreme sickness because of the pregnancy and due to the fact of flying. Whenever i fly my tummy always turns on take of. So I’m im paranoid im going to throw up. Also, I have really low iron so I don’t no how that will effect my whole flying experience. Has anyone flown while pregnant ? Or have any advice for me? Thankz.

I don't know what to advice. Iv had to put our holiday back we we're supposed to fly out to Dubai this weekend but iv got that hg I'm 9 weeks pregnant and we've put it back to June. But if I'm not feeling up to it I won't be going it just depends on how I'm feeling. Go with your gut do you have sickness now. Or you more worried to how you'll be on the flight? My grandma always used to say if in doubt leave it out,

Best bet is to check airlines rules on it and seek advice from your consultant or midwife as flying when pregnant can be safe but it can also not depending on each individual circumstances and some airline won't let you fly without a Drs note

I went abroad 25 weeks pregnant. It's fine. You only need a dr note after 28 weeks to say u r unlikely to go into labour and r fit to travel.

Re sickness- eat drink after every episode so baby is nourished.

Re anaemia - if it's really bad, you will be given prescription strength iron. Contact your GP.

I'm 20 weeks and just had a 4 hour flight. Everything was fine. I booked an aisle seat, to make it easier for bathroom breaks and made sure I stood up and moved around every once and a while. The woman next to me was over 30 weeks.

As someone said above, I think it's only after 28 weeks you may need a doctor's note. If you are worried about sickness, Maybe mention it to the staff when you board, so they are aware? They might be more helpful?

If you are worried speak to your midwife about it. I'm sure they can give advice.

Hi there! I went to Spain when I was 22 weeks and everything was fine. I just checked with te midwife and she said I was fine. She gave me some pills por motion sickness suitable for pregnancy too. I had a lot of nauseas at he moment, and I had always something to eat and drink, the same advise as if you are not flying. I was also flying when I was 8 weeks pregnant. Now I am 34 weeks and just want to rest. I hope it helps!
