Am I pregnant?

Hey, this is Amanda! I just turned 40 in Feb and me & my boyfriend have been trying to get pregnant.i have 2 children, 15yr old daughter & 19yr old. I went to Dr last year and tried Clomid but it didn't make me ovulate, I think. My last round was in October. Doctor then recommended me to fertility Dr but I never went cause it cost to much and personally I don't think fertility is the problem, just not always ovulating. All I can say is I've been doing alot of praying that God works a miracle. I'm going crazy now, my last period was December 18th, 2017 and I haven't started yet. I spotted for a few days beginning of February and I've had all pregnancy signs except sore breast, but itchy nipples. But hpt keep coming up negative and just went to Dr again this week for my 2nd blood test which was still negative. Now I'm scheduled for a follow up with my on on March 15th, is is possibly for him to do a ultrasound for me cause I feel pregnant but the negative test are driving me nuts. Has anyone had this happen? I want another child & hoping he'll do the ultrasound.

Aw hun I don’t want to read and run but I don’t have any answers! I’m 35 and trying again for my last angel and hoping to be blessed soon, I had a missed miscarriage in August with twins and ended with D&C and been kind of trying since September! I’m hoping the witch doesn’t come next week! Hopefully you can get an ultrasound to see if anything is going on or there’s a bundle in there !xx

I'll be praying for you hun & sorry to hear of that. Hoping God will bless us both and other women wanting a child. I really think it's possible that I do. Just listening to what my body is telling me plus some ppl tell me I have that glow. From what I've read online, some women don't get a positive test til 4, 5 months or more. So guess it's possible from what I've read. Fingers crossed! Good luck hun!

Our bodies are clever and by your symptoms and no Aunt Flo it sounds good to me , I hope it’s good news for you Hunni and you are right about the positive results too I didn’t find out til I was 13 weeks with my eldest daughter! I think when we get older to we started get in tune with our bodies and what’s going on ! Hey Mandysb11 I had the exact same problem with my tests except it turned out I had a missed miscarriage. I hope it isn’t the same for you. I’d go back to your follow up appointment and go from there

It's possible I didn't find out till about 16 weeks with my eldest went for my dating scan as we thought I was bout 12 13 weeks at that date turned out at my first scan I was 20 week pregnant

Are you uk based? If so your gp might go for an ultrasound as a work up or possibly more blood tests.

Not ovulating is considered a fertility problem as without ovulation you can't get pregnant. I would ask your gp to look into the possibility of early menopause too tho as it could be why you are missing periods. It can be detected with blood tests checking you hormone levels.

What is UK based? There's a possibility I miscalculated on ovulation or maybe I don't ovulate every month. I just prayed about it & put it in God's hands as he can work miracles hun before me running to fertility Dr and spending money i don't really have. Sometimes we just got to trust him and put our faith in him. I was checked for menapause last year, my levels weren't even close to menapause range. So guess just have to wait & see. Thanks hun!

She meant do you live in the UK hun, As for those of us that do there are certain ways things are done on the NHS, that differ a lot to other countries.

It's harder for a lot of us to give advice as a lot of us are in UK and our protocols and things are set out by the NHS. My advice is go to your follow up appointment, if HPTs are coming up negative and another blood test comes up Negative request an ultrasound, even if its just to be safe, in case something is wrong, an ultrasound will tell you if you are pregnant or not.

I've heard women can be pregnant without any hcg or it picks up later on pregnancy. Yes hun, that's what I'm hoping the Dr. Will go ahead and do just to be on the safe side. Thanks hun

My regular doctor called yesterday to give me my blood results from my physical. Even though my urine waa negative, she said the blood test was elevated and higher and she thinks I'm pregnant and told me to do follow up w ob. That made my day! I told her I had appt already scheduled for thur. So happy!
