Hi, I am 6 weeks pregnant, saw a bit of blood this morning and it's been on and off since then. Is this normal or has anyone else experience this?

Yes with all 3 of my pregnancies, it could be implantation bleeding, but call midwife and ask for scan at early pregnancy unit to check x

Should go get it checked out I had a bleed a 7 weeks straight after sex read it was normal no more bleeding after that, then at 12 weeks started bleeding and had a mc I wish I had got it checked out earlier as baby stopped growing around 6/7 weeks

i had some bleeding on and off until 12 weeks-never very much and usually a brown/light pink colour. Ring your midwife/early pregnancy unit and they will most likely book you a scan over the next couple of days to put your mind at rest x

Hey darling. Hope is all good.

The colour of the bleeding is very important it should never be red. I had from implantation bleeding to every month spotting through my pregnancy. I was checked in the Early pregnancy unit as I had previously a miscarriage. The baby was not developing properly either... it all changed at 12 weeks were out of the blue all tests were ok. Only one time had the spotting going red and was taken into hospital.

So it’s very important that you go and check yourself if you are concerned and if the discharged is red, and have other pains as they need to rule out an atopic pregnancy

Definitely have it looked at, to be on the save side. Chances are it’s just implantation bleeding - I had that with my first child and all was well, he’s 4 now.

However, it could also be bad news. If it’s ‘just’ (I say that carefully) a miscarriage, then no doctor can do anything to stop that happening, but I’ve just had an ectopic pregnancy, which started with bleeding. I had brown blood first, red a couple of days later. In the end my Fallopian tube burst and I needed emergency surgery. This is not to scare you but get checked out to make sure it is just implantation bleeding.

All the best!
