Laser hair removal and pregnant

I’m 5 weeks pregnant, and have laser hair removed appointment for my legs coming up. I’m reading all kind of info online, but still no definitive answer whether it is safe. Anyone did laser while pregnant? Thank you <3

Congratulations on your pregnancy! This is what my clinic says

“However, due to the fragile and delicate state pregnant women are in, it is medically advised by sk:n that laser hair removal treatment must be postponed until after child birth. Not enough is known about the effects laser hair removal has on pregnant women and as medical professionals sk:n will never offer treatment to expectant mothers.”

As with a lot of things in pregnancy, it’s about whether you are willing to take a risk. You won’t get a definite answer that it is or isn’t safe unfortunately because it’s not ethical to test on pregnant women so they err on the side of caution and advise against it. Have you had a chat with your clinic? Might be worth seeing what they say?

Thank you so much Bexicles2016! This is very helpful. I read online that no one knows fir sure but better to avoid. Just curious if anyone did do laser while pregnant.

Have I spoken to your clinic? If there is uncertainty, personally I wouldn't be willing to take risk... but ultimately it's up to you and the clinic

I personally wouldn't bother during pregnancy as your hormones might make you hairer than usuall x
