HELP! Am I pregnant???

So I was due on a period the last few days in November about the 29th-2nd December yet it never came. We are on 4th January and still no period. I had a tiny drop of blood on Christmas morning but nothing after it was very watery and I thought it was my period starting as I had some backache and tender breasts leading up to that day. This is unusual for me as I am very regular and I tend to have heavy periods that last 4 to 5 days..... after that one drop of blood iv had no more. I keep feeling sickly and nausea and a bit of heartburn that I never get. Iv now taking taking 4 tests from different brands I took my first test about 2 weeks after my missed period one 2 weeks after that and one just before Christmas and one tonight yet there all negative. I find it hard to get to a GP due to work hours and work not allowing time out of work for doctors hospital or dental appointments unless it is an emergency. I just want to know what's happening to me. I keep freaking myself out. What if iv gone through the change at 25 or what if i am pregnant but it's growing in the tube and that's why I get a negative. I was not trying for a baby but I'd rather know now as I am a smoker and I have stopped the last weeks just in case I am and I had to lie to family and friends why I have not had drinks over Christmas and I don't want to say to them I think I'm pregnant until I know for sure.

Tell Work it’s an emergency and go and see your doc. You can ask for a HCG Blood test which has better detection than urine tests.

Ab above, it’s a doctor appointment you need so work can’t keep you away from it.

I’m currently going through either a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy - you’d still have positive test results even if it were ‘in the tube’.

Just be prepared, depending on your initial blood test resuscitate you may need to go back for further ones 48 hours to see whether your levels are rising/staying/falling, if they are in any doubt over pregnancy/what’s going on.

Get yourself into the doctors hun just to make sure and if there is anything you’re worried about they can help and guide you. A pregnancy test won’t show you’re pregnant if it is in your tube.

It's unlikely to be Pregnant if a test is still negative after so long, (in general even an ectopic pregnancy would give you a positive test, also an ectopic would normally give you sided pain. Menopause at 25 is very unlikely too, is there a family history of this?

Sometimes periods are missed for a variety of reasons (even things like stress, weight loss, excess exercise can cause this). However as you've missed two periods now I don't think seeing the gp is a bad idea..., ask your gp if they have early/ late appointments so maybe you can work around your job if not explain you need to see your gp (it's none of their business why!) if they are unreasonable you can take a day off an selfcertify as a sickness day (you don't need a doctors note for the first seven days!)

There is no history of it. But thyroid problems do run in the family. Its possible it could be linked to that. I am ringing tomorrow to see if i can get an appointmemt saturday morning. If not ill have to have a sick day on monday to get it sorted. Thanks for the reply.

Your thyroid can def. accept your periods although in general you'd have other symptoms too... but worth checking m

As an update. I took one more test. It was negative tho a few hours later i was throwing it away and i looked and i saw a faint line.... which made the test positive. I know they not to read results after 10 minuets.

You can't rely on what it shows a few hours later, that's why you have to read it within 10 mins as it can change but doesn't mean its positive
