I’m 18 and a half weeks pregnant, but still struggling to eat big meals, I bought some vitamins but they are huge, I really struggle taking them and it stresses me out. Does anyone know of any other vitamins that arent a mission to try and swallow.

What vitamins are you taking? I’m taking pregnacare and they are ok but I don’t take the omega 3 that comes with it coz I find them hard to swallow x

They are just ones from Asda, but I’ve not been very good at taking them and it’s remembering them also x

You can always put an alarm to not forget and cut it in half and take half at the time... I have a friend that has loads of problems with big or even small pills, for example, she dissolves paracetamol on a glass of water and then takes it... or smashes intil dust or smaller pieces and then puts in water and drinks...

I gave up on the omega 3 ones too. I don’t normally have major issues taking tablets but thought I was going to choke on those!

Lol I’m exactly the same! They were awful

I've heard you can get a liquid form of the vitamins- see link below.

I also had a vitamin problem, but have downloaded a pregnancy app that asks you every day if you've taken them and that helps me remember. Also, I tend to swallow mine with something really tasty, like some nice fruit juice or squash. I struggle if I try and do it with water.

You don’t need the multi vitamins really, I’ve been taking folic acid & vitamin d separately- they are tiny in comparison & much gentler on your tummy too x

Thank you, I was wondering if they were a must have!

Tesco’s have little tubs of two a day pregnancy vitamins which are flavoured with ginger and (I think lemongrass(?) which are chewable and quite tasty. Ginger also helps to settle tummy.

Hi, get a tablet dispenser with the days on it. I have had memory problems all way through pregnancy so this has been a life saver. I take pregnacare max to make sure I get everything I need xx
