Hello everyone i would like to find out, if birth controls can have an effect on your pregnancy,i was taking morning after pills and i also took them when i was pregnant without knowing....now my concern is will it harm me or the baby?

Hello sweetie! I would make an appointment with the gp and ask for a scan.. the morning after pill is a "bomb"of hormones and should just be taken as last resource not be a usual thing... next time have regular contraception like regular pill, implant or just keep a condom with you all the time...

I remember 3 years ago I caught with my little girl on the mini pill and before I knew I was pregnant was still taking it. I mentioned to my midwife about this and she said not to worry as long as you stopped as soon as you found out you were expecting! I hope this helps a bit but contact the midwife or ring epu and they will help you too with any questions! Xx

It shouldn't do. However as mentioned before in the future please do not rely on the emergency contraception... it's not a good form and is only meant to be an emergency not for regular use
