Worry in pregnancy

Some people may think I’m strange but I just can’t help it, I constantly worry about what I’m eating looking at the ingredients of stuff etc I’m scared to try something different incase I shouldn’t be eating it, I also have problems with germs too I was like this in my last pregnancy I thought 2nd time round it would be easier but it’s just the same. I’m currently getting Cbt to help with my thoughts and feeling but I still have a constant battle with myself...

Probably the best thing you can try and do for both of you is to try and relax ☺️ Food is only a problem if it’s something that might give you food poisoning (for example raw meat & unpasteurised diary) another is tuna & shark due to mercury levels. Apart from that eat a healthy balanced diet and you and baby will be fine.

As far was wanting everything super clean is concerned this might be hormone related if it goes after birth so perhaps try and first look at what your other child is in the middle of doing and ask yourself if they would be have even more fun if you joined in the activity with them rather than cleaning. 😊

Hiya! Bloomin hormones ey! They can trigger things like depression and anxiety and it sounds like yours is anxiety or health anxiety and it can be mentally and physically exhausting! Cbt is really affective for some people but if you are not finding it much help then speak to your GP regarding other options. You want to be able to enjoy your pregnancy. All the best xx

Thank you I’m just scared of going on medication but I feel awful at the moment I’m hoping it settles down a bit after my next scan on the 11th but if it doesn’t I will be getting some advice from gp 😊

Don’t be scared honey. I’m 15 weeks pregnant and I am taking citalopram and it has helped me hugely as I was suffering low mood and anxiety xx
