Hi again ladies,

I am really becoming a regular here! I jut wanted to ask if anyone has had the same experience I've had ano if they know what it is. I am 29weeks pregnant and recently have been getting a strange like dagger feeling down my lower tummy and then a big pressure down below as if the baby is about to come out...! I felt this the other day walking in the park and it terrified me! It happened a few times that day. Does anyone have a clue what this can be..?

I am also in 29 weeks, yeah exactly it happened to me as well. But my nurse said since i am running in third trimister while the baby movement will be frequent and due to rapid growth it happens. Good luck!

Thanks

With regards xoxo

I had this much later on in my last pregnancy, about 37 weeks. I still needed induced for 5 days at term so I wouldn't worry about it coming anytime soon but it is super painful!! My midwife offered to sign me off but I was already on Mat leave. It would just come randomly when I was walking. Not ever sure exactly what it was, felt like a head pushing in my pelvis but I do wonder if it was my pelvic bone. Who knows but I sympathise, maybe book to see your midwife for advice but try not to worry.

Hi. I get pain down below too. I’m currently 36 weeks and have had it since probably 24 weeks. It comes on especially when I’m walking and the whole of my pelvic hurts, my downstairs and also shooting pain down one side of my leg. It could be pelvic girdle pain or just the bump pressing on your ligaments. I find yoga really helpful for managing pain and sleeping in my side with my knees at a 90 degree angle reduces stiffness in my hips and back. Being pregnant is so blooming painful!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x

I had that around 29 weeks. I thought baby was pushing down. I later realised I have varicose veins in my vulva as well as my legs!

The shooting pain might be sciatica, caused when baby presses on a nerve. If you move or change position, it should get better.

Wow! I've never heard of varicose veins there! Or sciatica. Thankyou so much for your feedback! Can I just ask you though did you your doctor tell you or the midwife.?
