Is cephalexin safe to take during pregnancy? ?

I am 27 weeks, and the doctor prescribed me cephalexin and vitamin c due to some urine infections. I have started taking from yesterday and i didn't feel my baby movement 24 hours. Isn't something wrong with my baby?? I'm so worried that i couldn't concentrate on anything i do. I have done eating cold and hot things still no movement yet. Please help me. Should i need to see the doctor? ?? 😢😢😢

Cephalexin is safe but if you don't have movements (could be a coincidence or related to urine infection) you should really get it checked out

Yeah i went to see the doctor the next day, and found my baby is very active. Therefore i am quit glad that i can feel the baby movement now and then. Thanks for the quick response. With regards 💓

Cephalexin isn't that much of a strong drug. I think you are good to take it. I know for a fact that some UTI's are cured with cephalexin. So it is safe for the doctors to prescribe them during pregnancies. However if you think there is something more serious... Why not pay your gynecologist or doctor a visit? Just to make sure dear. Well i have finished taking till five days (500mg ×3 daily ), and i even went to see the doctor to make sure that my baby movement is there. Therefore i am pretty sure that my baby is safe till now. Whatever thank you so much for replying me and i am glad to heard from you.

I am glad that this turned out fine dear. I would have been devastated had the opposite happened. Your baby will continue to be safe. The angel has a great mother who will always be protective!
